We, the swimming club Poseidon Hamburg e.V., with over 1000 members, were founded in 1948 from the merger of the clubs Altonaer Schwimmverein 1910, Ottensener Schwimmverein 1909 and Sanitätsschwimmverein Eimsbüttel 1895. This makes us one of the largest swimming clubs in Northern Germany. The central location of our club is our own outdoor pool in Hamburg-Eidelstedt, which is also used as a location for competitions. With two 50-metre pools, it is THE centre of club life in summer.
